Whether it is an independant or a family-run business, there is always good food to be found on any of the 17 blocks on Eat Street.

The Bad Waitress

2 E 26th St
+1 612 872-7575
This hipster cafe, diner and coffee shop has 1950s decor and serves bus rental visitors diner-style breakfasts and lunches. Located right in the middle of Eat Street, this diner has a rather unusual way of getting your orders. Instead of a waitress taking your orders, you sit at a table, write your orders on a sheet of paper, take it to the cashier and pay, and just sit back and wait for your food to be served. Guess this is where the name of their store comes from.

Affordable Food Joints in Minneapolis

Planning a trip to Minneapolis but not too sure where can you have awesome meals that comes in an affordable price tag? Well, if you visit Minneapolis in a charter bus, you can be sure to find many food joints that will not kill your wallet.

Travail Kitchen is one of those places where the food is great and the price is ok. Located in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, this place does not take reservations and there are no waiters. However, the team of 14 or more chefs provide entertainment for its diners. They also change their menus every week.

Another diner to visit is Victory 44 where the chef, Erick Harcey cooks everything on his American menu by himself, and this place also doubles up as a college bar. The menu is written on the chalkboard and ranges from bacon fries up to special short-rib dumpling. You can head here for food at any time of the day as this place serves its customers all day. A must try is Victory 44’s exquisite Eggs Benedict 2.0, made from poached eggs, melted leeks and mustard hollandaise.

At Haute Dish, their specialty would be the TaterTot Haute Dish which a unique casserole dish that features glazes, braised short ribs topped with giant, cheesy homemade Tater Tots crusted with potato flakes and instead of traditional canned mushroom soup, this dish is served with porcini béchamel sauce. This place looks swanky with red leather booths and low lighting, just like your typical 1950s diner.

If you prefer something freshly baked from the oven, you should head over to Rustica, where owners Steven and Barbara Horton line their shelves with Sicilian olive-studded bread, French country bread “miche” and their special meringue and buttercream layered cake “dacquoise”. Don’t forget to head there especially on Thursdays to sample their levain bread filled with toasted sesame seeds, or on Sundays where their special is a special Spanish inspired bread with a sugary glaze called cañadas de azucar.

For a modern North African menu, do stop by Mediterranean Saffron Restaurant and Lounge where chef Sameh Wadi modifies your classic dishes in a whole new way. Classic such as the hummus is not served traditionally, but instead enriched with caramelised paprika butter.

Another twist in a traditional menu is done by The Bachelor Farmer, where they give traditional Scandinavian menu a little modernization. Owned by Eric and Andrew Dayton, there are also bread specialty dishes and a must try would be the delicious grilled, marinated cucumber salad with smoked trout.

The Bakken Museum

When it comes to planning holidays with the family, it does not take much to make the children happy, excited and looking forward to family trips. All you need to do is charter a Minneapolis bus and take them to visit the Bakken Museum and they will be having a blast there with all the fun things that they will get to do. The Bakken Museum is a place that allows visitors to explore and learn about the history, impact and applications of electricity in our lives.

Do give yourself and your family at least a few hours at the Bakken Museum. We are quite sure that once you arrive here with your family in the Minneapolis charter bus, your kids would be raring to go and not willing to leave. Hence, giving them a few hours to stay in the museum and totally enjoying themselves and trying out everything that they can lay their hands on would give them satisfaction and by the time you are ready to go, they would be more than willing to leave – without complaining. In case you didn’t already know, the museum was created by Earl Bakken who is the founder of Medtronics, as well as the inventor of the first portable pacemaker.

Inside the Bakken Museum, your kids will get to have fun with all the interactive displays and exhibits while on the outside of the museum, you will find it surrounded with four breathtaking gardens – the Florence Bakken Medicinal Garden, Green Energy Art Garden, Dakota Native Plants Garden and Healthy Heart Organic Garden. Each of the gardens is special and unique and in order to be able to appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of the gardens, you have to be there in person to see it and “feel” it. As you tour the museum, you will also find that they display “inventions” and “creations” that were made by the local youths, which is an excellent display because it gives the younger generation an opportunity to allow their imaginations become a reality with their inventions. From a laser light display box to a jewelry container that has a lock as well as a lie detector, the exhibits may even give your own kids some awesome ideas to try out when they get home and create something of their own too. Don’t forget to stop by their museum gift store before you go home – they have some really interesting items like the Sundrop earrings (we’ve been told that they are made out of recycle glass, sterling silver and sunshine) and magnetic board game for sale.

Children’s Theatre Company, Minneapolis

Sometimes, the best things in life are not so complicated. For children, they literally see “play” in everything that catches their eyes and their attention. Musical movies, dramas are some of their favorites too – especially if it is filled with colorful costumes and props. And that is exactly what you can expect when you bring your kids with you to the Children’s Theatre Company at 2400 Third Ave S, Minneapolis. Fun, colorful and exuberant are just some of the words that we can use to describe this unique theatre! And if you are looking for a different and unique travel experience with your kids, this is just the place to go – but, make the trip even more memorable by adding on to the fun of the trip with a Minneapolis charter bus!

Even though you may think that the productions at the Children’s Theatre Company are most likely suitable for kids – you’ll be in for a surprise when you are there. Many parents who have brought their kids here thinking that the productions would only captivate the attention of the younger ones, would always walk out of the theatre amazed that they themselves have enjoyed the shows just as much as their kids, if not more. One thing about their productions that deserves to be applauded and praised is the jokes that are part of their shows are rather classy and absolutely suitable for the eyes and ears of children.

Almost as soon as the casts enter the stage, you will feel as though you have been taken into a different world – a world where some of your biggest and most wondrous dreams are coming true. Well, that is, if you have always dreamed of being on stage where the actors are and playing one of your most loved characters. Even if you have never had such dreams, you will not be disappointed with the quality of the acting, costumes and props that they use. This is definitely one place that Minneapolis bus charter companies would recommend tourists or visitors to Minneapolis to visit – especially if they have the time to do so. They have different productions and shows running at different times of the year, so be sure to check their website for more details before you plan your trip here with your kids. “Charlotte’s Web”, “Cinderella”, “Shrek the Musical”, “The Wong Kids in The Secret of the Chupacabra Go!” are some of the shows to be expected in the near future.

The Magnificent Foshay Tower

If an overview of downtown Minneapolis is what you are looking for, then there is no better place in the whole of downtown Minneapolis to head to but the Foshay Tower. Although after some major renovation and reconstruction to the building it has now been named W Minneapolis, many visitors, including some of our Minneapolis bus charter customers, continue to refer to this lovely landmark by its old name...some names are just meant to stay. Maybe some generations and decades later, the new name would stick.

At one time, Foshay Tower remains to be the only looming skyscraper in Minneapolis, a lonesome sight that it gave off. With so many other new, lofty buildings having made their way to the heart of downtown metropolis Minneapolis, it now greets new charter bus visitors warmly and welcomingly as they cruise by in their rented Minneapolis charter bus, coach charter, mini bus, school bus or luxury vehicles.

Foshay Tower was, unbeknownst to most people, modeled after the Washington Monument. The tower was initially designed and completed in 1929 and measures right up to more than four hundred and forty seven feet high and this is without counting the antenna which extends the height of the tower right up to more than six hundred feet above the ground. Make no mistake about it but the tower has been listed as one of the most treasured landmark of the country in the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Visiting the Foshay Tower when Minneapolis charter bus visitors are here for the very first time makes sense because, just like all other first-time visitors, a bird’s eye view of the city that you are visiting will put everything, the city landscape, the people and the places, into proper perspective. At the top of this landmark tower is a small museum which will further educate first-time visitors about the many different places, culture, lifestyle, and history of the city. Some customers have come to understand a whole lot more after looking at the different, interesting artifacts in the museum and it helped them during their Minneapolis charter bus rental trip.

For some, the building may just be a historical place. To others and visitors, it is a looming sight. But for one man, Wilbur Foshay, it was the art student and businessman’s lifelong dream. As he lived and went on to make an incredible amount of money from his investments and work at the three utility empires that he built over his lifetime, Foshay Tower, a landmark named after him, remains close to his heart.
